Playoff Spots
HFC runs two divisions of 12 franchises. Each team plays 12 total games in the regular season, then the postseason begins. Whether those games are grouped into series or played as weekly matchups is still being finalized — the 12-game total stays the same either way.
Scoring
Records & Seeding
Playoff spots and bracket order are decided by seeding. Your record is what drives that seed, and point differential (PD) is what separates teams of the same record.
Higher seeds get the better bracket path and link priority (as well as a bigger prize), so every win and every margin of victory matters through the whole season.
Postseason
Playoffs
All 12 Division 1 teams are locked into the playoffs.
The top 8 seeds from Division 2 play a play-ins round, and the 4 winners join the 12 Division 1 teams for the Sweet 16.
From there the top 8 seeds from D1 will pick who they want to play against. The Sweet 16 will, then commence, win and you move on; lose and you're out. The last team standing wins the championship/Heritage Bowl.
